The poles used in the Switch cup obstacle are rather like bending poles available either tread in for grass or multi surface for arenas. 1.75m high.
With an enamel mug as the cup.

Switch cup includes:
2 poles 
1 mug

Switch cup with pole corridor includes:
6 poles 
2 mugs

Switch cup with L corridor includes:
4 poles 
2 mugs
L corridor consisting of  2 of 1.8m raised rails & 2 of 3.6m raised rails

Aim
For the simple Switch cup obstacle a plastic sleeve, is placed on the top of a pole and swapped to an adjacent pole placed 1.2m apart.

If a pole corridor is used create a corridor with the poles 2.4m apart 3 poles in each row and the rows 1.5m apart with a mug on the end poles in each row.
The rider has to ride into the obstacle, halt, pick up the cup, rein-back slalom through the poles, and place the cup on the last post.

Similar with an L corridor but you collect the mug and back up to place it on the poles at the other end.
